Lisburn is a popular and large city which is located just south west of Belfast. With a very small gay scene, Lisburn is probably not the best place to go to on holiday if you’re looking for a good gay night life; however, Belfast is just around the corner and offers a good range of gay bars and clubs.
Because there are no Lisburn gay bars and no Lisburn gay clubs it does not mean you can’t have a great night out in Lisburn. You could even travel the distance, which isn’t very far, to Belfast where there is a good gay scene and great range of gay bars and clubs. The likelihood is that Lisburn gay bars and Lisburn gay clubs are yet to open. Usually when a town or city as large as Lisburn doesn’t have a gay scene it means there will be one on the horizon or that there never will be one.
In a city like Lisburn it doesn’t really matter too much that there are no Lisburn gay bars and no Lisburn gay clubs because you will easily be able to find other places to go for a good night out. The general nightlife in Lisburn is ok and there are a few gay friendly bars and clubs but if you want a full on gay scene then I’d suggest heading to Belfast.
